Thank you for your interest in the Cincinnati Wind Band. We’re looking for experienced, committed musicians who are excited to be part of a high-level, collaborative ensemble. Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds, and we value strong musicianship, reliability, and a shared passion for making great music together.
Audition Information
Guided by a mission to present meaningful wind band performances, mentor musicians of all ages, and support new and innovative repertoire, the Cincinnati Wind Band is proud to serve both our local community and broader audiences. While we remain focused on creating engaging concert experiences here in Cincinnati, we also travel occasionally and have performed at world-class venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York City, Severance Hall in Cleveland, and at several conferences including OMEA, KMEA, and the Midwest Clinic. Our 2026-2027 season is capped off with a performance at Cincinnati's Music Hall and includes our first international performances as we tour Spain in Summer of 2027.
Auditions for the 2026–2027 season must be submitted via video. We encourage you to use a smartphone. Professional equipment is not required, but your sound should be clear enough to hear tone, rhythm, and musical detail.

A brief music background (e.g., ensembles you've played with, your training, or current playing experience)

Please do not edit or splice your video. Just play naturally and musically.

All videos are due no later than August 1st, 2026.
How to Submit
Upload your video to a cloud storage platform such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive. Make sure your sharing settings allow access, and email the link to: jim.daughters@cincinnatiwindband.org
Review Process
Your recording will be reviewed by the conductor, associate conductor, and section manager for your instrument.
